Situated at the foot of the Hottenstots Holland and Helderberg Mountains in Somerset West, this is one of the best and most beautiful golf courses in South Africa. This Gary Player design is a course of two separate and contrasting nine holes.

The front nine meanders through flat parkland terrain and the many houses on this part of the estate, while the back nine climbs drastically up the mountain with views of the coastline from the top holes. There is a lot of water and some challenging pothole sand traps. Erinvale Golf Course was selected as the venue for the 1996 World Cup of Golf, the only South African course ever to have been so honoured. Erinvale also hosted consecutive SA Opens in 2003/04
